TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a close and fruitful relationship with the US installed customer base
  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Sales Engineer, R&D Network Engineer, L3/L4 Network Support Engineer or related occupation

  • Support technical discussions with Data Center Operators, Service Providers, OEMs, via direct or indirect channels
  • Define and execute Proof of Concept (POC) prototypes, including software design and implementation in C and other languages
  • Give onsite presentations to customers, including product demonstrations and Product Roadmap presentations
  • Sell product upgrades and new modules to the US installed customer base
  • Ensure a high level of service quality for all Salesforce tickets related to US customers, and ensure that all Service Level Agreements (SLA) are fully met
  • Serve as the primary interface between Customer Service & Support and Research & Development to resolve Customer problems or product issues
  • Lead highly technical follow-up calls with customers to ensure all problems/escalations receive a satisfactory solution within prescribed timeframe
  • Support Pre-Sales Engineers during product evaluation by providing technical product information and relating it to the current/potential client.
  • Deliver Professional Services such as on-site technical assistance, product integration and customization.
  • Assist the Project Manager in accelerating resolution of technical issues
  • Deliver customer training, on-site or off-site
  • Lead daily follow-ups for reporting of the Regional Team including Customer Service & Support Engineers and Expert Engineers
  • Manage Customer escalation for the US region
  • Set-up service contracts for US customers, interfacing with legal department when necessary
  • Train all new Support Engineers in the region

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Sales Engineer, R&D Network Engineer, L3/L4 Network Support Engineer or related occupation

  • 3 years of experience in network protocols from L2 to L7 and protocol reverse engineering for Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) software development
  • 3 years of experience working with use cases related to DPI especially in the telecom and security markets
  • 3 years of experience in C programming on embedded platforms, multi-core platform architectures (Linux, Cavium, MIPS, etc.)
  • 3 years of experience debugging (including assembly language) and trouble-shooting software applications with complex architecture
  • 3 years of experience designing and implementing high performance and low memory footprint solutions for specific hardware architecture and operating system based on understanding of customer’s technical requirements
  • 2 years of experience in post-sales activities and account management with significant front-line technical escalation management and reporting
  • Travel domestically for 1 week at a time every 3 months and internationally every 6 months

The position is located in Santa Clara, California in the United States.
